Basketball Game Preview: Whitney Wildcats vs. Pioneer Titans

The Whitney Wildcats will head out to square off against the Pioneer Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Whitney will head into Tuesday's matchup on the come-up: they were handed a heart-breaking three-point loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Glenn on Tuesday. Whitney blew past Glenn, posting a 74-24 win.

Meanwhile, Pioneer didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Oxford Academy on Tuesday, but they still walked away with a 63-57 victory.

Whitney's win bumped their record up to 12-14. As for Pioneer, they are also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which somehow still isn't as good as their 20-6 record this season.

Whitney won a game that couldn't have been any closer in their previous matchup two weeks ago, slipping by Pioneer 53-52. The rematch might be a little tougher for Whitney since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
