Volleyball Recap: Newport Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Stayton, Newport was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They came out on top against the Mazama Vikings by a score of 2-0. The Cubs haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Newport now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Mazama, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-16-1.

Newport wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Klamath Union on the 18th. Mazama has also already played their next match (against Marshfield), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
