North East is 8-2 against Girard since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Grape Pickers are taking a road trip to square off against the Yellowjackets at 11:00 a.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for North East and four for Girard.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for North East's offense. They came up short against Northwestern on Tuesday, falling 6-0. That's two games in a row now that the Grape Pickers have lost by exactly six runs.

Meanwhile, Girard also failed to score in their most recent game. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 12-0 to Corry, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

North East's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Girard, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.

North East suffered a grim 9-2 defeat to Girard in their previous matchup on April 3rd. Can the Grape Pickers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
