Recap: Freeman Scotties vs. Deer Park Stags
The Freeman Scotties came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with ten straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 38.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They breezed by Deer Park at home to the tune of 82-31. Freeman has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matches by 20 points or more this season.
Freeman got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Caleb Grant out in front who scored 17 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Vance Coyner, who scored eight points along with five steals.
Freeman's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 81.3 points per game. As for Deer Park, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.
Freeman will head out on the road to square off against Newport at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Deer Park, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Lakeside at 7:15 p.m.
