Volleyball Game Preview: Holy Names Academy vs. Seattle Academy Cardinals

Holy Names Academy will face off against the Seattle Academy Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

On Saturday, Holy Names Academy came up short against Seattle Prep and fell 3-1. Holy Names Academy hasn't had much luck with Seattle Prep recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Seattle Academy took on Lakeside on Saturday. The Cardinals took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions. While the Cardinals didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Lions 25-19 in the first set.

Seattle Academy started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 19-25, 26-24, 25-14, 25-19.

Holy Names Academy will need to focus on slowing down Gabriela Bunin, one of several Seattle Academy players who made an impact when they last played. She had 21 digs and two assists. Another player making a difference was Maeve Campbell, who had 35 assists and eight digs.

Holy Names Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Seattle Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9.
