Football Preview: Masuk Panthers vs. Newtown Nighthawks

Masuk is 2-7 against Newtown since November of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Masuk got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jake Viglione out in front who picked up 137 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Those 137 receiving yards gave Viglione a new career-high. Michael Charland was another key back, rushing for 78 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries.

Meanwhile, Newtown came tearing into last Friday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 39.8 points), and they left with even more momentum.
