Basketball Recap: Covina Comes Up Short

Covina was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 71-61 to the Rowland Raiders. The Colts were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Raiders earlier this season, when they won 54-47.

Covina's loss dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Rowland, they pushed their record up to 15-8 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Covina has already played their next contest (against West Covina), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Rowland will be playing in front of their home fans against Wilson at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Rowland knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Wilson likes a good challenge.
