Basketball Recap: Onaga Comes Up Short

Onaga played a tough game on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 72-30 loss at the hands of the Jackson Heights Cobras. The Buffaloes were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-17.

Several Buffaloes players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Casen Hutfles, who posted 14 points and five rebounds. Maddex Honas was another key player, putting up six points.

This is the second loss in a row for Onaga and nudges their season record down to 2-2. As for Jackson Heights, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Onaga and Frankfort will compete for holiday cheer at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats have been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Jackson Heights has already played their next matchup (against McLouth), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
