Soccer Recap: Bellevue East Comes Up Short

Bellevue East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was the Burke Bulldogs who were credited with the win. The Burke Bulldogs got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Bellevue East Chieftains' three. Bellevue East were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Burke apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Quentin Floro and Charley Pelaez scored both of Bellevue East's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Bellevue East's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Burke, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Bellevue East will square off against rival Bellevue West at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The match will give Bellevue East their first taste of in-conference action this season. Meanwhile, Burke is set to face off against their familiar foe Papillion-LaVista at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
