Recap: L.C. Bird Skyhawks vs. Midlothian Trojans
The L.C. Bird Skyhawks's three-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They walked away with a 20-10 win over Midlothian. This was payback for L.C. Bird, who suffered a 15-7 defeat the last time these two teams met.
La'Tavion Lowe was the offensive standout of the game as he rushed for 136 yards and two touchdowns. Lowe was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 59 yards. Sha?heym Dugger did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 87 receiving yards and a touchdown.
L.C. Bird now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Midlothian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-5.
L.C. Bird will head out on the road to face off against Matoaca at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Matoaca presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than L.C. Bird in Virginia (Matoaca is ranked 26th, while L.C. Bird is ranked 110th). Midlothian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
