Volleyball Recap: Mount Vernon Christian Takes a Loss + How To Watch

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Mount Vernon Christian and La Conner, and La Conner kept the tradition alive. The Hurricanes fell 3-1 to the Braves on Tuesday. The Hurricanes were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Braves apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

Mount Vernon Christian couldn't get the W, but boy did they fight for it: two sets took extra rallies. The final score came out to 28-26, 25-21, 18-25, 26-24.

Mount Vernon Christian's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1-1 and their overall record down to 3-5-2. As for La Conner, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4-1 record this season.

After both having extra time off, Mount Vernon Christian and Coupeville will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for La Conner, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Darrington on the 9th.
