Basketball Recap: St. John XXIII Lions vs. Lutheran South Academy Pioneers
While St. John XXIII didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-22), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. Everything went their way against the Lutheran South Academy Pioneers on Tuesday as they made off with a 62-40 victory. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 22 points or more this season.
Xavier Katamba continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, putting up 24 points. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 20 or more in each of the last five games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Micah Cohen, who posted 14 points.
Despite the loss, Lutheran South Academy still got an impressive performance from Christian Anderson, who had 20 points.
