The Southwest Florida Christian King will head out to take on the Oasis Sharks at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Southwest Florida Christian knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Oasis likes a good challenge.
On Monday, Southwest Florida Christian made easy work of Everglades City and carried off a 13-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the King's, who have now won eight games by ten runs or more so far this season.

Braelyn Davis made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those four hits gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Adrianna Thorne, who scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Kaley Fleischer was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
Southwest Florida Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .656. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Oasis came up short against Port Charlotte on Friday and fell 11-6. The Sharks have struggled against the Pirates recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.
Faith Tilley was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one triple. That triple marked the first that she hit this season. Another player making a difference was Emma Neujahr, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
Southwest Florida Christian has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for Oasis, their loss dropped their record down to 12-9.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Southwest Florida Christian has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Oasis struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 8.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Southwest Florida Christian skirted past Oasis 8-7 in their previous meeting back in February. The rematch might be a little tougher for the King's since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
