Volleyball Recap: Sebastian River Falls Despite Big Games from Elizabeth Bryant and Taygen Ramos + How To Watch

After flying high against Synergy Magnet K12 last Thursday, Sebastian River came back down to earth. The Sharks came up short against the St. Edward's Pirates on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Sharks of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2023.

Sebastian River was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-22, 25-16.

Despite the defeat, Sebastian River had strong showings from Taygen Ramos, who had ten digs, and Elizabeth Bryant, who had six digs and six assists.

Sebastian River's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-6. As for St. Edward's, their record is now 11-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Sebastian River will square off against Melbourne at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Edward's, they will face off against Heritage at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Pirates surely won't give up without a fight.
