Galesburg-Augusta waltzed into their game on Tuesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They never let the Saugatuck Trailblazers get on the board and left with an 11-0 win. Surprisingly, this marked the Rams' fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Jaden Fawcett was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out nine over six innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up a single earned run in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Ethan Gibson was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Galesburg-Augusta is undefeated when Gibson posts two or more runs, but 2-5 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Colson Blake, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Galesburg-Augusta was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in six consecutive contests.

Galesburg-Augusta pushed their record up to 12-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Saugatuck, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-10.

Looking ahead, Galesburg-Augusta will host Kellogg at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Saugatuck, they will venture away from home to challenge West Ottawa at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
