Heard County extended the longest winning streak in AA Region 5 this week by beating Pepperell, 27-14. The victory was the 10th in a row for the Braves.
Kendrick made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 5,683 from 6,032. The advance stemmed from a 12-0 victory over Dade County last week.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Jordan's William Harris and Javante West have proven to be a lethal combination. Harris has thrown for 1,685 yards this season, while West has 64 catches for 1,001 yards. Christian Armstrong from Temple leads the league in rushing with 354 yards.
The Cherokees had a great defensive game this week, leading the league in points allowed with 0.
