Baseball Game Preview: Moody Bearcats vs. Poolville Monarchs

For the second straight game, Moody will face off against Poolville. The Bearcats will square off against the Monarchs at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Moody is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games.

Moody is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They walked away with an 8-5 victory over Poolville.

Zayden Heaton was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off 11 hits (and only one walk). He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Moody is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 4-9 otherwise. Heaton was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run and three runs. Those three runs gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Ace Archer was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Truitt Costine, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Moody's win bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Poolville, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-8.
