Softball Recap: A.L. Brown Takes a Loss

A.L. Brown lost against South Iredell back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. A.L. Brown took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of South Iredell.

Madeline Cook made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Kennedy Yow, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

A.L. Brown's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3-1. As for South Iredell, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-7 record.

Looking ahead, A.L. Brown is taking a road trip to face off against Northwest Cabarrus at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. A.L. Brown's pitchers better be ready for this one: Northwest Cabarrus has averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season. As for South Iredell, they will host Mooresville at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mooresville will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
