Basketball Recap: The Pinnacle Picks Up Fifth Straight Win on the Road

On Saturday, The Pinnacle Timberwolves didn't have too much breathing room in their game against the Skyview Wolverines, but they still walked away with a 38-32 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Timberwolves.

The Pinnacle got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Mario Munoz out in front who posted 12 points and five boards. The dominant performance also gave Munoz a new career-high in shooting accuracy (67%). Another player making a difference was Joseph Trujillo, who earned nine points and six rebounds.

Skyview lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Gabriel Guevara, who scored seven points and three steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 11 games he's played. Robin Campos Laos was another key player, putting up three points and five boards.

The Pinnacle pushed their record up to 14-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Skyview, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season.

The Pinnacle wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 76-31 win against Sheridan on the 11th. As for Skyview, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 43-30 defeat against DSST: College View on the 10th.
