Basketball Recap: Pasadena Memorial Comes Up Short

Pasadena Memorial was the 54-39 winner over Dobie when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Pasadena Memorial Mavericks were dealt a 57-26 loss at the hands of the Dobie Longhorns on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Mavericks have suffered against the Longhorns since February 11, 2020.

Several Mavericks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Scarlet Huicab- De Niz, who posted six points. The team also got some help courtesy of Akayla Williams, who went 7 for 15 on her way to 14 points.

Pasadena Memorial dropped their record down to 2-9 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for Dobie, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-10.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Shadow Creek the next time they take the court. Dobie will head out to face Shadow Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Pasadena Memorial will host them at 7:00 p.m. on December 17th.
