Basketball Game Preview: John Hancock Academy Rebels vs. David Emanuel Academy Eagles

Having just played yesterday, the John Hancock Academy Rebels will jump right back in to play the David Emanuel Academy Eagles at 4:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

John Hancock Academy heads in on the heels of a playoff game on Thursday. They were beaten by Thomas Jefferson Academy 86-43.

Meanwhile, David Emanuel Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost to Covenant Academy on the road by a 56-39 margin.

Despite the defeat, David Emanuel Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ethan Fields posted 22 points and seven boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Clayton Hood, who earned six points and five rebounds.

David Emanuel Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-16. As for John Hancock Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-20.

John Hancock Academy beat David Emanuel Academy 56-48 when the teams last played on Friday. The rematch might be a little tougher for John Hancock Academy since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
