Basketball Recap: Cascade Takes a Loss

Cascade was the 70-61 winner over South Putnam when they last played one another back in January of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Cadets fell 54-50 to the Eagles on Tuesday.

Despite the loss, Cascade still got an impressive performance from Toby Savini, who went 8-for-16 to rack up 22 points. Savini is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last six games he's played. Brady Trebley was another key player, putting up nine points and seven boards.

Cascade's defeat dropped their record down to 14-6. As for South Putnam, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-8.

Cascade didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 51-45 loss against Monrovia on the 27th. As for South Putnam, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, an 82-52 win against Dugger Union on the 27th.
