Softball Recap: Clark Takes a Loss

Clark couldn't beat Sunrise Mountain on Wednesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the second inning. The Chargers came up short against the Miners, falling 22-6. The Chargers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Miners earlier this season, when they won 18-2.

Sawyer Coulthard was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Christina Hernandez also deserves some recognition as she got her first hits of the season.

Clark is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-9. As for Sunrise Mountain, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-11.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Clark is set to challenge their familiar foe Canyon Springs at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Sunrise Mountain will take on rival Rancho at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
