Baseball Recap: Clintondale Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Clintondale's offense. They lost 15-0 to the Center Line Panthers on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Dragons have suffered against the Panthers since March 29, 2016.

Clintondale saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jordan Pruett, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Caden Puckett also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

This is the second loss in a row for Clintondale and nudges their season record down to 1-4. As for Center Line, their victory bumped their record up to 3-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clintondale will host New Haven at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Center Line, they will take on Sterling Heights at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Stallions have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.2 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
