Softball Preview: Fletcher Senators vs. Englewood Rams

Fletcher fell victim to Middleburg and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Broncos. Considering the last time Fletcher couldn't score was back in March, the team can't take the result too hard.
Tiffany Semack spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on nine hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in five consecutive pitching appearances.
Meanwhile, Englewood can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent contest on Wednesday. They blew past ED White 15-0. The win was just what Englewood needed coming off of a 15-6 defeat in their prior matchup.
Ashleigh McDaniels made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. McDaniels was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
