Baseball Recap: Lucas Musser Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Adams Central

Peru had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They never let the Adams Central Flying Jets get on the board and left with a 9-0 victory.

Not much got past Ryne Butt, who gave up just three hits and racked up 11 Ks to keep Adams Central off the board.

At the plate, Peru got a massive performance out of Lucas Musser, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one triple. Those four RBI gave Musser a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Eldridge, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

Adams Central's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Peru has already played their next match, an 11-3 defeat against Eastern on the 12th. As for Adams Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 15-2 win against Taylor on the 12th.
