Bloomington Central Catholic is 7-0-1 against Heyworth since March of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Saints will head out on the road to face off against the Hornets at 4:30 p.m. Bloomington Central Catholic will be strutting in after a win while Heyworth will be coming in after a defeat.

Bloomington Central Catholic will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Monday, then bounced right back against El Paso-Gridley on Tuesday. The Saints never let the Titans get on the board and left with an 11-0 victory. The win was some much needed relief for the Saints as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 17 runs the game before, Heyworth was a bit more limited in their game on Monday. They lost 12-1 to LeRoy.

Heyworth saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emily Rogers, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI. Ellasyn Loudenburg also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Bloomington Central Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 17-10. As for Heyworth, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-12.

Bloomington Central Catholic skirted past Heyworth 7-6 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Saints since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
