Softball Recap: Elmwood Park's Losing Streak Snapped at Eight Games

Elmwood Park had to endure an eight-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past the Fenton Bison 7-1 on Monday. The Tigers not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since April 3rd (when they won 17-0).

Abigail Jarosz spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Ava Bowser, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high. Tessa LaRocco was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

Elmwood Park's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 4-10. As for Fenton, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-12.
