Softball Recap: Platteville Hillmen vs. Richland Center Hornets

Platteville extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 9-13 in the process. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Richland Center Hornets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hornets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-0 back in April.

Kennedy Shea spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.
