Baseball Recap: Hudson's Bay Takes a Loss

Hudson's Bay had lost four straight at home, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 5-11 to make it five. They fell 12-8 to the Hockinson Hawks. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hawks earlier this season, when they won 6-3.

Shay Bradley was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. That triple was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Tackett, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

As for Hockinson, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-12. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

On Hockinson's side, Skyler Liddie was a standout: he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs and one double. Those three runs gave Liddie a new career-high. Treyton Fraki was another key player, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with three runs and one RBI.

Hudson's Bay has already played their next game (against Mark Morris), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Hockinson, they will challenge Ridgefield at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
