Basketball Recap: Tulia's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

It was a good run, but Tulia unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 57-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Childress Bobcats. The Hornets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bobcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2022.

Tulia's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nic Carrasco, who posted six points and four steals. Matthew Lopez was another key player, putting up six points and five rebounds.

Even though they lost, Tulia smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in nine consecutive matchups.
