Basketball Game Preview: Creek Wood Red Hawks vs. Lexington Tigers

The Creek Wood Red Hawks will face off against the Lexington Tigers on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Lexington will be up against a hot Creek Wood squad: the team just extended their winning streak to 13. Creek Wood blew past Hardin County 53-31 on Friday.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Lexington against Montgomery Central on Friday as the team secured a 62-21 victory. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 105th, while the Indians are ranked 358th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Creek Wood pushed their record up to 21-8 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 28.6 points. As for Lexington, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season.

Creek Wood strolled past Lexington in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 by a score of 53-34. The rematch might be a little tougher for Creek Wood since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
