Softball Recap: Kearns Comes Up Short

On Friday, the Kearns Cougars came up short against the Virgin Valley Bulldogs and fell 10-7. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kearns saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sky Aguirre, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. What's more, Aguirre posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. Another was Aniya Mecham, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two RBI.

Kearns now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Virgin Valley, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-3.

Kearns has already played their next matchup, a 7-6 victory against Delta on the 14th. As for Virgin Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 9-7 defeat against American Fork on the 15th.
