Baseball Game Preview: New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly Vipers vs. Pleasant Plains Cardinals

New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly hasn't had much luck against Pleasant Plains recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Vipers will take on the Cardinals at 4:30 p.m. New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly will be strutting in after a win while Pleasant Plains will be coming in after a defeat.

On Saturday, New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly was able to grind out a solid victory over Southwestern, taking the game 7-3.

Meanwhile, Pleasant Plains unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Monday. They fell 7-3 to St. Joseph-Ogden.

Trager Shultz was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Drew Green was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

The win got New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly back to even at 9-9. As for Pleasant Plains, their loss dropped their record down to 18-4.
