Basketball Recap: Clark Takes a Loss

Clark was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 37th straight loss dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Bishop Gorman Gaels and fell 51-7. While losing is never fun, the Chargers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nevada basketball rankings (they are ranked 84th, while the Gaels are ranked third).

Mirandah Buch was nothing short of spectacular for Bishop Gorman: she went 7 for 15 to rack up 20 points in addition to five boards and four steals. Those four steals gave Buch a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Savannah Searcy, who posted eight points and 12 rebounds.

Clark's defeat dropped their record down to 0-25. As for Bishop Gorman, they pushed their record up to 16-7 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home.

Clark does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Bishop Gorman, they will square off against Liberty at 6:30 p.m. on February 13th. Bishop Gorman is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.7 points per game this season.
