Football Recap: Cade Uden's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Kenesaw over Bruning-Davenport/Shickley

Kenesaw was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 28-20 to the Bruning-Davenport/Shickley Eagles. If the Blue Devils were looking for revenge after losing 56-54 to the Eagles when the teams met back in November of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Kenesaw's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cade Uden, who threw for 174 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 40 yards. Another player making a difference was Adam Denkert, who gained 120 total yards and a touchdown.

Kenesaw's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Bruning-Davenport/Shickley, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Kenesaw and Bruning-Davenport/Shickley will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Blue Devils are set to square off against their familiar foe Franklin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Bruning-Davenport/Shickley will take on rival Lawrence-Nelson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
