Basketball Recap: North Ridgeville Comes Up Short

North Ridgeville and Cleveland Heights squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but North Ridgeville had to settle for second. The match between them and the Cleveland Heights Tigers didn't end well, with the North Ridgeville Rangers falling 51-36.

Cleveland Heights' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sanai Alexander led the charge by putting up 12 points along with seven boards and five assists. Alexander continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Robbie Caldwell, who went 7-for-14 on her way to 14 points.

North Ridgeville has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season. Cleveland Heights' victory bumped their record up to 14-9.
