Softball Recap: Ringgold Comes Up Short

Saturday just wasn't the day for Ringgold's offense. They lost 12-0 to the Castor Tigers on Saturday. The Redskins were not able to make up for their defeat to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Ringgold has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.5 runs over those games. As for Castor, their win bumped their record up to 11-6.

Ringgold has already played their next contest, a 24-9 victory against Jonesboro-Hodge on the 30th. As for Castor, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 16-1 win against Mansfield on the 28th.
