Congratulations to this week's top players! We're covering the best performances from Friday's football action (using all statistics entered as of the time of writing). Enjoy!

Black Posts Huge Game in 38-26 Win

Starting off the list is Greenhill's William Black, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Black threw for 276 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in three rushing scores.

Black and Greenhill will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Oakridge at 7:00 p.m. on November 1st. The last time Black took on the Owls, he threw for 231 yards and four touchdowns. Can he match (or beat) that performance?

Charlie Greenberg Turns in Season-Best Performance

Sadly, Charlie Greenberg posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead St. Andrew over Cistercian on Friday. Greenberg threw for 186 yards and three touchdowns.

St. Andrew's is on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6. Greenberg and St. Andrew's will welcome Liberal Arts & Science Academy - Austin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Bryson Watt Delivers Best Effort of Season

On Friday, Greenhill got the W thanks in part to Bryson Watt playing the best football he has all season. Watt picked up 178 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He has become a key player for Greenhill: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least 100 receiving yards, but 1-2 otherwise.

Watt and Greenhill will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Oakridge at 7:00 p.m. on November 1st. The Hornets got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Owls, probably because Watt had a solid game then too: he picked up 67 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Can he match (or beat) that performance?

A Season-Best Performance from Canaan Factor Leads Fort Worth Country Day over Houston Christian

Sadly, Canaan Factor posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Fort Worth Country Day over Houston Christian on Friday. Factor picked up 137 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Factor might have his next game, a home matchup with Oakridge, circled on his calendar. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Factor saw the Owls), he picked up 148 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
