Rancho Cucamonga lost to Canyon back in December of 2025, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Cougars secured a 66-62 W over the Comanches.

Despite the loss, Canyon still got an impressive performance from Rami Awad, who shot 70% from beyond the arc to rack up 26 points and seven boards. Thanks to that strong game, Awad now owns an excellent 45.2% field goal percentage. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryson Taiulu-Allen, who posted seven points.

Rancho Cucamonga's victory bumped their record up to 13-14. As for Canyon, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-9.

Coming up, Rancho Cucamonga will square off against Chino Hills at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cougars will be up against the Huskies' rather soft defense (which has allowed 56.67 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Canyon, they will face off against El Modena at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Comanches will be up against the Vanguards' rather soft defense (which has allowed 49.74 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
