Softball Recap: Ellington Knights vs. Stafford Bulldogs        
        
		
            
 Ellington's rock-solid pitcher showed up for the team's eighth consecutive shutout  on Monday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Stafford Bulldogs  a   6-0 shutout. Considering Ellington has won 11 games by more than five  runs this season, Monday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Not much got past  Camryn Fisher, who gave up just  one  hit and racked up 18 Ks to keep Stafford off the board. Fisher has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  tossed less than nine  strikeouts every time she's  pitched this season.
 On the hitting side,  Bryanna Cromwell was  excellent,  going 2-for-4 with three  RBI and a  double.  Kathryn Czyz was another key contributor,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-3.
 Ellington pushed their record up to 15-2 with that  victory, which was their sixth straight  on the road. As for Stafford, they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 6-7.
 Ellington will head out on the road to  challenge  Glastonbury at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. The pair have allowed few  runs on average, (Glastonbury: 3.1, Ellington: 1.3) so any  runs scored will be well earned. As for Stafford, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on St. Paul Catholic at 3:30  p.m.  on May 28th.
