St. Joseph never let Saint Mary's Hall get on the board and left with an 8-0 win on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Flyers, who have now won 13 games by six runs or more so far this season.
The result came thanks to Shayne Meismer's shutout, as she gave up just a hit and racked up 15 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 12 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Gianna Morris and Avery Grimsinger did most of the damage at the plate: Morris scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3, while Grimsinger went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Morris is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged two or more in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Arianny Handy, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
They weren't the only ones working in the hit department: St. Joseph kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 22 runs the game before, San Antonio Christian was a bit more limited in their matchup on Monday. They fell just short of Saint Mary's Hall by a score of 3-2.
Brianna Vick was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Vick was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run.
Vick wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Payton Miller, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
San Antonio Christian's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-5. As for St. Joseph, their victory bumped their record up to 15-4.
Thursday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. St. Joseph hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .419. However, it's not like San Antonio Christian struggles in that department as they've averaged .337. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
