Baseball Recap: Schenectady Takes a Loss

Schenectady was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They came up short against the Averill Park Warriors, falling 14-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Patriots of the 12-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2023.

Schenectady's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Averill Park, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-5-1 record this season.

Schenectady will face off against Albany Academy for Boys at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Averill Park, they will square off against Albany at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Falcons have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.7 runs per game on average), something the Warriors will no doubt try to take advantage of.
