Volleyball Recap: Audrey Galyen's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Norfolk over Bennington

Norfolk lost against Bennington back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Panthers fell just short of the Badgers by a score of 2-1.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Norfolk sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-16, 19-25, 25-22.

Norfolk lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Audrey Galyen, who had 13 assists and 12 digs. Galyen is crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 13 every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jocelyn Kuehner, who had nine digs and two aces.

Norfolk now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Bennington, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Norfolk has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Columbus on the 30th. As for Bennington, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Kearney on the 30th.
