Basketball Recap: Mountain Crest Takes a Loss

Mountain Crest was the 68-53 winner over Box Elder when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Mustangs took a 57-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bees on Tuesday.

Despite the loss, Mountain Crest still got an impressive performance from Jackson Branz, who went 6-for-12 on his way to 18 points. Another player making a difference was Noah Cardon, who posted 13 points.

Mountain Crest's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Box Elder, the win was the fifth in a row (dating back to last season) for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Mountain Crest didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 58-48 victory against Ogden on the 26th. As for Box Elder, they will challenge Sky View at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
