Softball Recap: Overbrook Starts Season with Victory at Home

Overbrook took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Haddon Heights Garnets, sneaking past 11-9. This was payback for the Rams, who suffered a 7-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

The team relied heavily on Alaina Dufresne, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and two RBI. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Olivia Van Elsland, who scored a run and stole Three bases. while going 1-for-2.

Overbrook is taking a road trip to challenge Gateway Regional at 11:30 a.m. on March 29th. As for Haddon Heights, they will challenge Washington Township at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
