Volleyball Recap: LaFayette Comes Up Short

LaFayette entered their match against Calhoun on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Ramblers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Yellow Jackets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Yellow Jackets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 last Tuesday.

While LaFayette was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-22.

Gracie Rambo paced LaFayette's offense, picking up 11 kills. Rambo got some help from Jaslyn Capello and her 21 assists.

LaFayette's defeat dropped their record down to 27-9. As for Calhoun, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 23-7.

Coincidentally, LaFayette and Calhoun will both be playing Adairsville the next time they take the court. The Yellow Jackets will head out to face the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Ramblers will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
