Meanwhile, Watauga had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.8 points) and they went ahead and made it nine on Tuesday. They strolled past the Nighthawks with points to spare, taking the game 74-55.

Lake Norman pushed their record up to 27-1 with the win, which was their 17th straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 79.1 points over those games. As for Watauga, their victory bumped their record up to 22-5.

Everything came up roses for Lake Norman against Watauga when the teams last played back in December of 2022, as the team secured a 74-40 win. In that game, Lake Norman amassed a halftime lead of 39-12, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
