Football Recap: Catholic Central Beats Brighton for Their 11th Straight Victory + How To Watch

Catholic Central had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They claimed a resounding 45-7 victory over the Brighton Bulldogs. Considering the Shamrocks have won seven games by more than 21 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Catholic Central got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Duke Banta out in front who threw for 192 yards and three touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes. A healthy portion of Banta's aerial production (106 yards to be exact) went to Samson Gash, who also brought in two receiving touchdowns.

The victory keeps Catholic Central at an undefeated 11-0. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 11.5 points on average this season. As for Brighton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-4 record this season.

Catholic Central will challenge Clarkston at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Shamrocks will need to watch out since the Wolves have now posted at least 31 points in their last six matchups. Brighton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
