It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Calallen can now relate to. They fell just short of the Fredericksburg Billies by a score of 2-0 on Thursday. The Wildcats' loss signaled the end of their 17-game winning streak.

Jordyn Thibodeaux spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on one hit and racked up 14 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

Calallen's defeat dropped their record down to 29-5. As for Fredericksburg, the victory (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 25-9.

While Calallen had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
